Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Falkirk, Stirlingshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Falkirk, Stirlingshire for a Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

This is a 4 site practice which recently has had a new branch open and the Senior Vet will be involved with the overseeing of the running of this branch.

• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 12 vets, 14 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 3 VCAs and a supportive non-clinical team

The role

• The role will involve a mixture of carrying out consultations and surgeries. There are two surgical shifts each week and two consulting shifts per week. Some inpatient evening work but not ooh.
• The role is a leadership role where the Vet will be responsible for a clinical caseload and also from driving the clinical development and services of the practice forward. The Vet will work alongside other Senior Vets, Head Nurses, the Clinical Director and the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth operating of the day to day clinic. As a Senior Vet they will be expected to drive clinical standards forward including client and patient care.
• The role does offer a first opinion and referral caseload.
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• Currently they have 4 sites with a new branch site opening shortly. The Senior Vet will oversee the running of the new branch in Falkirk.
• They have a large team whom have a wide variety of special interests and bias's along with certificate holding Veterinary Surgeons.
• They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
• They are fully equipped with facilities including Ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, in house laboratory along with consultation rooms.
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

• They are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Vet who is happy to work closely with the rest of the team.
• The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills. They will be able to build rapport and strong client relationships.
• The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.

Package

• Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
