Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Basingstoke, Hampshire

  • Are you looking for a new full time opportunity in Hampshire?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Basingstoke, Hampshire for a Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week, along with Saturday mornings on a rota. Part time applications can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

  • The role will involve a mixture of carrying out consultations and surgeries. A Vet with a medical or surgical bias would be advantageous and supported but not essential to the role.
  • The Vet will be working alongside 2 Vets and a supportive nursing team. The role offers a great opportunity for someone who is ready for a new challenge and wants to take a step up into a role with more responsibility. Support and encouragement would be provided by the practice.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work-life balance
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • They are fully equipped with facilities including Ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, in house laboratory along with consultation rooms.

  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:

  • They are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Vet who is happy to work closely with the rest of the team.
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills. They will be able to build rapport and strong client relationships.
  • The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 40 hours to attend
