Permanent Senior Veterinary Nurse - High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a referral practice in High Wycombe for a Permanent Senior Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days with shifts between 7.30am and 8.30pm, along with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all patients receive a high standard of Veterinary care.
• Ensuring health and safety regulations are met each day.
• Ensure SOP are in place and adhered to along with compliance.
• Identify and implement any training requirements within the team. Delivery induction training for all new team members.
• General Nursing duties including anaesthesia, administrations and discharges, communicating with clients and attending the rounds around the departments.

• They have a large team of multidisciplinary specialists
• They are equipped the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment and provide a wide range of facilities including on site CT and MRI, fluoroscopy machine, Radiology and Ultrasound.
• All of the team are supported by interns, and they all are working closely with their in-house rehabilitation department.
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:

• The Senior Nurses must have previous experience of working within a referral practice.
• They are looking for a nurse who is a team player and looking for somewhere to work which has a supportive environment and offers great training and development opportunities for them
• They Nurse will be able to use their own initiative and be able to self-motivate.
• The Nurse will be proactive and forward thinking.
• The Nurse will have great communication skills and have an approachable manner
• They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily

Package

• Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays and birthday off
• CPD: Generous allowance of £550 with 3 days to attend

Must haves:
