Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Rainham, Essex

We are recruiting for an independent veterinary practice in Rainham, Essex who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon.

The practice is looking for a vet with competence in routine surgeries and consultations, and excellent communications skills. You will be working alongside the head vet but sole charge will be required on occasion.

The role is full time for 4 or 5 days per week from 8:30am to 5pm or 11am to 7:30pm, along with 1 in 3 weekends and a bank holiday rota. There will be time off in lieu for any weekends or bank holidays worked. There will be no OOH or on-call.

• Type: Small animal
• Hours: Full time, 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30am to 5pm or 11:30am to 7pm
• Weekends: 1 in 3 weekends
• TOIL: After any weekends or bank holidays worked
• Sole charge: On occasion, must be comfortable
• OOH: None required
• Branch work: Very occasional holiday/sick cover require at local branch
• Team: 1 vet, 3 nurses and a supportive non-clinical team

About them:

This practice is a busy independent small animal practice in Rainham which opened in 2019. They have a modern, purpose built practice with excellent facilities, including an in-house laboratory, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound machines, radiology, orthopaedics and much more.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service. At the moment, the practice is not able to support a new graduate.

Package:

• Salary: £36,000 to £48,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
• CPD: Generous allowance
• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
• Workplace pension scheme

Must haves:

• RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
