Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Manningtree, Essex

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon?
  • Are you looking to join a talented veterinary team?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Manningtree, Essex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, along with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Part time hours can also be considered as although most of the existing vets spread their hours over 4 days, this is completely flexible.

  • Team: 3 vets, 8 RVNs and 1 SVN

The role

  • Areas of special interest are actively encouraged and supported along with funding
  • Flexible working times available
  • The role will involve a mixture of consultations and surgeries
  • Flexible working patterns available to work around family life and commitments
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients

About them:

  • Established first opinion practice with 2 sites
  • The practice encourages and supports CPD
  • The vet would be working alongside a team of 3 vets and 8 RVNs
  • Role is based within one branch
  • Purpose built practice
  • They work closely with the branch surgery who boast an advanced practitioner in diagnostic imaging and experienced orthopaedic surgeon
  • They are equipped with facilities including digital x-rays, video endoscopy, multiparameter monitoring and a therapeutic IV laser
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients
  • They can offer a varied case load along with clinical freedom

About you

  • Ideally the vet would have a good level of post graduate experience and be confident in routine medical and surgical cases
  • The vet will be ambitious and looking to progress further and continue with their learning and development
  • The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
  • The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care

Package

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,350 with 5 days to attend
  • Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
