Permanent Veterinary Nurse- Oxford, Oxfordshire

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join an independent small animal practice in Oxford.

This role is available on a full time basis working 4 or 5 days per week. There is a shared weekend rota but there is no OOH. Part time applications will also be considered.

This is a small animal first opinion practice which boasts a supportive working environment. The practice understand the importance of a good work / life balance and therefore offer the flexibility of either a 4 or 5 day week.

The practice are open to applications from various levels of experience and would encourage any RVNs that are considering a leadership role / and or have an interest in nurse management to apply.

The role will involve all aspects of general nursing which also includes nurse clinics and schedule three tasks.

The practice are looking for an RVN who has a compassionate and empathetic attitude along with excellent communication skills. They will be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing from inpatient care and nurse clinics to managing their own surgical cases. The practice are looking for a team player and are happy to provide support and encouragement to any areas if special interest. Ongoing encouragement and support is provided to all members of the team, and with a CPD allowance and additional learning opportunities the role offers an RVN a great opportunity to continue to develop their skills.

Key Details:

  • Hours - Mon - Fri: Full time or part time - 4 or 5 day week for full time.
  • Weekend rota/hours: Shared Saturday morning rota
  • OOH rota: None
  • Team: 3 Vets, 2 Nurses, 2 ANA and supportive non clinical team

  • They will have an enthusiastic and motivated attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • They will be ambitious and motivated to develop and utilise all their clinical skills.

Package:

  • Salary up to £30,000 per annum commensurate to experience

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.
