Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Carnforth, Lancashire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Carnforth, Lancashire for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

The role is full time for 40 hours per week with shifts between 8am and 7pm, along with 1 in 7 weekends for inpatients only and 2 in 7 Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

• Team: 4 vets, 4 RVNs and 2 SVNs

The role:

• The role will involve a variety of duties including working within the theatre, diagnostics, consulting and recovery departments. There will also be some occasional reception cover required.
• This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious nurse who would like to make a difference and share and promote new ideas.
• The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
• The role offers flexible work patterns to suit around lifestyle, school runs and school holidays.

• First opinion practice with a team of 4 vets, 4 RVNs and 2 SVNs, along with support staff.
• Two site practice close to the Lake District and the beaches of Morecambe.

About you:

• The practice are looking for a confident and enthusiastic nurse.
• The Nurse will have great communication skills and organisational skills and be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
• They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily.

Package

• Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays and birthday off
• CPD: Generous allowance of £500 with 24 hours to attend
