We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a practice in Norwich Norfolk.

This is a full-time role working a 4-day week between the hours of 8am & 7.30pm with a 1:4 full weekend rota. Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm. No ooh requirement.

The practice is looking for a confident RVN who has good all round first opinion work experience. They will work well as part of a team, have great organisational skills and be able to manage their time well. A genuine passion for animal welfare and for all aspects of the role is essential.

The role offers a varied case load and the opportunity for the nurse to develop their clinical skills and knowledge with certificate being supported and encouraged.

The role involves all aspects of general nursing including:

• Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
• Admissions & Discharges
• Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care.
• Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
• Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
• Administering medications and taking records accurately
• In patient care
• Nurse clinics
• Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work.

Key Details:

• Type: Small Animal
• Hours: Monday - Friday shifts between 8am & 7.30pm 4 days per week
• Weekends: 1:4 Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm
• OOH: None
• Sole Charge: None
• Computer System: RX Works
• Consultations: 15 minutes
• Team: 4 Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 students RVNs and lots of support staff

Package:

• Salary: 22,000 - 24,000 commensurate to experience
• Holiday allowance: 5 Weeks annual leave increasing to 6 weeks after 1 years' service and Birthday off
