Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester

A small animal practice in Ashton-under-Lyne is currently recruiting for a Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 5 Saturdays. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The practice are willing to be flexible on discussing part time hours too and would consider you apply with the view to discussing this.

About the role:

The practice has a large veterinary team comprising of 10 vets which is split across its 4 sites. They have a range of specialist interests and 4 of them are certificate holders and 2 more are currently undertaking a certificate. They also have a visiting orthopaedic surgeon who comes twice a month.

With the large highly experienced team the role offers the surgeon opportunities to further their career by developing their clinical skill set and knowledge and work towards a certificate.

• Weekends: 1 in 5 Saturdays

• Sole charge: None
• Team: Large multi vet and nurse team along with support staff
• Consultations: 15 minute appointments

• Blood pressure monitoring

• Hospitalisation facilities
• Nurse consultation

Package:

• Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
• CPD: Generous allowance of £1,750 with 5 days to attend
• Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
• Staff discounts available
• Pension provided

Must haves:

• RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
