Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Nuneaton.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with a 1:3 weekend rota. There is no OOH required.

This is a growing practice offering a variety of 1st opinion Veterinary Services. They are fully equipped with the latest technology. The practice sees a wide variety of cases including more complicated medical cases and offers soft tissue surgery. It is a modern and spacious purpose-built clinic.

The practice has a team of 2 Vet, 4 Nurses, 1 VCA and reception staff. They are a supportive and friendly team and provide a high standard of clinical care and are always willing to go that extra mile.

About the role

The practice requires an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who has sound medical and surgical skills. They must also be comfortable with sole charge work. Previous experience in emergency surgery is advantageous. The position is equally split between consultations and surgery. The surgeon must have excellent customer care and communication skills and be able to work well with others as part of a team.

Key Details:

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm
  • Weekends: 1:3 Weekends Saturday 9am - 6pm Sunday 10am - 4pm
  • Sole Charge: Yes on occasion

  • Branch work: None
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Consultations: 10 Minutes
  • Team: 2 Vets, 4 Nurses, 1 VCA and support staff

About You:

  • You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will be comfortable with some sole charge work
  • You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will have excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package:
