We are recruiting on behalf of a small practice in Melksham, Wiltshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is part time for 3 days per week, along with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • Team: 43 vets, 40 RVNs and large support team

The role

  • Permanent Veterinary Surgeon
  • Part time or full time hours available
  • The role will be based within one of their branch surgeries. For a full time role there would b a requirement for one day per week to be worked at their animal Hospital in Bath
  • The role will involve clinical duties including consulting, diagnosing and surgeries.
  • The Vet would be joining a large team who work across multiple sites
  • They offer flexible rota working patterns in order to suit a good work life balance
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

About them:

  • Established small animal practice and referral hospital
  • Multi-Site practice across the region along with an animal Hospital in Bath
  • Across the sites they have a large team of 43 Vets, 40 RVNS and a support team
  • They offer a wide range of veterinary services with facilities and diagnostics including in house lab, digital radiography, Ultrasound and endoscopy
  • They have multi-site 1st opinion practices along with a small animal and referral Hospital
  • They can offer a wide variety of cases and believe in case continuity and offer support to the team where required
  • They have Vets currently studying towards certificates and this is encouraged and supported for all future Vets working at the practice
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you

  • Various levels of experience are considered whether new graduate or a return to work or a Vet who is looking to progress
  • The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
  • The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients

Package

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
