Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Northampton

We are recruiting on behalf of an animal hospital in Northampton for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 38 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends with time off in lieu. There will be 2 days of shifts from 8am to 7pm and 2 days of shifts from 8am to 5pm. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The 24 hr animal hospital offers a wide range of veterinary services and facilities as one would expect and has all the toys but also has an air fryer in the large break room along with a coffee machine! They have quiet break out areas in doors and outdoors for staff as they understand the importance of breaks and mental health and wellbeing support is available along with 4 mental health first aiders.

This large hospital which boasts 10 consulting rooms comes with a team of 14 vets, 18 RVNs and a large supportive non clinical team. They all have various levels of experience and some of them hold certificates. Practice culture is very important so in terms of the Vet that they are looking for they are mainly looking for the right person who will fit within the team and therefore are open to various levels of experience. As with a mainly consulting role it is important that the Vet has great client facing and communication skills and can build rapport easily with clients.

Package:

• Salary: £40,000 to £70,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
