Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Derby

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?
  • Are you looking for a new opportunity in Derby?
  • Would you like a salary of up to £55,000?

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Derby. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 9am to 7pm, along with 1 in 7 full weekends and 1 in 7 Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm. The Saturday shifts will be 9am to 5pm and the Sunday shifts will be 10am to 4pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • Hours: Full time, 4 days per week, shifts from 9am to 7pm
  • Weekends: 1 in 7 full weekends, 1 in 7 Saturday mornings
  • OOH: None
  • On-call: None
  • Computer system: TBC
  • Team: 8 vets, 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs and a supportive non-clinical team

The role:

  • The role is first opinion small animal practice with a mixture of consultations and surgeries. They are able to offer a varied caseload that will support clinical development.
  • The Vet will be responsible for communicating with clients with regards to updates on their pets health.
  • The role offers ongoing development benefits with support and funding available for certificates.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high level of Veterinary Care to patients.

About you:

  • You will be a qualified veterinary surgeon with a desire to work with a forward-thinking veterinary practice. You must have a real passion for the industry and strive to provide the highest standards of care. Excellent customer service skills are also essential.
  • The practice can accept applications from various levels of experience.
  • The Vet will be a team player with excellent communications skills and be able to establish good working relationships with both clients and the fellow colleagues.

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
