Permanent Veterinary Surgeon Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Burton-on-Trent for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon. The position is full time for 4 days per week between 9am and 6.30pm with a shared Saturday mornings rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role:

• The role offers a varied caseload with a mixture of consultations and surgeries.
• The position would be ideal for a Vet looking for a role where they can advance their clinical skills and knowledge and study towards a certificate.
• As a large Veterinary company, the role would suit a candidate looking for further career progression opportunities.
• The role offers clinical freedom for the Vet to work up cases fully and manage their own cases.

Key details:

• Type: Small animal
• Hours; Full time, 4 days per week
• Weekends: Shared Saturday morning rota 9am - 12,30pm
• OOH: None
• Sole charge: None
• On-call: None

About the practice:

• Large multi-Branch practice across the West Midlands and Staffordshire
• Bright and recently refurbished practice with consulting rooms, theatre, prep room and separate dog and cat ward.
• Facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray and ultrasound
• They have a large and loyal client base
• Dedicated team of Vets and Nurse which provide a supportive and family feel run environment to work in
• The practice pride themselves on having a low staff turnover
• Offer opportunity to progress and develop skills and knowledge - areas of special interest and bias encouraged
• Team of certificate holding surgeons - the Vet will gain knowledge and support from colleagues in small animal medicine, exotics, imagery, ophthalmology and a visiting cardiologist.
• Provides funding for certificates
• Offers a fun working environment

• Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
