We are recruiting for a permanent Head Registered Veterinary Nurse join a busy practice in Tarporley Great Manchester on a full time, permanent basis. This is a first opinion practice whose ethos is based on clinical excellence, excellent customer service and patient care. The Head Nurse will work closely alongside the new Clinical Director and together will look at ways to consistently improve the running of the practice and the way that things are done.

As part of the Head Nurse role they will be responsible for developing the nurse clinics and will also act as head clinical coach to student nurses. Thus the role offers plenty of opportunity to further develop nursing skills and utilising mentoring and coaching skills. Ongoing support along with funding for continuous education for further qualifications is provided.

This role is 37.5 hours a week working on a varied shift pattern : Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 6:30 pm . There is a 1:8 Saturday or Sundays working at the animal hospital close by in Hartford.

This role would be ideal for an experienced RVN who is confident in all areas of veterinary nursing and someone who is looking to take their next career step.

Key Details:

• Type: Small animal only
• Hours: 37.5 hour week between 8:30am and 6:30pm each day
• Weekends: 1:8 Saturday Saturday and Sundays working at animal hospital in Hartford.
• Sole charge: None required
• Branch work: Only on the weekend rota.
• Team: 3 Vet 3 Nurse
• Consultations: 15 minutes appointments

The Person:

They are looking for a compassionate, hard working and reliable veterinary nurse whose passion for the industry is clear with everything they do. They will be looking to take their next step up and utlise coaching and mentoring skills that they have. They will demonstrate leadership skills and be constantly looking at ways the practice can improve. They will lead by example and enjoy working closely with all members of the team. It is important that you are fully qualified and registered with the RCVS. Customer service skills are also of high importance, as they require all nurses to assist the reception team when required.

The Package:

• Salary 26,000 - 30,000 commensurate to experience
