We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Fort William, Scotland for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

This is a full time role working a 40 hour week over 5 days. The hours are between 8.30am and 6.15pm with a 1:4 on call weekends and a 1:4 Saturday mornings covering clinics from 8.30am - 12.30pm. Part time applications will also be considered.

The role:

  • Full time position working a 40 hour week over 5 days. Shifts are between 8.30am and 6.15pm. There is a 1:4 weekends on call and a 1:4 Saturday morning in clinic working 8.30am - 12.30pm.
  • The position is both small and large animal 1st opinion work.
  • The role will involve a variety of duties including in patient care, nurse consultations and clinics, assisting in theatre, monitoring aesthetics and assisting with the large animal work.
  • This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious nurse who would like to make a difference and share and promote new ideas.
  • The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
  • The role offers flexible work patterns to suit around lifestyle, school runs and school holidays.

  • 1st opinion Mixed Animal Practice. RCVS accredited and nurse training practice.
  • Located in Fort William close to 2 ski centres and Ben Nevis.
  • They are fully equipped offering state of the art facilities and veterinary services including ultrasound, endoscopy, dental x-ray, separate dog and cat kennels, digital x-ray and an in house laboratory.
  • They have a team of 6 Vets and 5 Nurses.
  • They provide a supportive working environment where everyone has a voice and are able to share their ideas.
  • They offer a great work / life balance and provide support to one another as a team.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • The practice are looking for a confident and enthusiastic nurse.
  • The Nurse will have great communication skills and organisational skills and be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
