Permanent Veterinary Nurse, Dalkeith, Midlothian

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Dalkeith, Midlothian for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This position is available on either a full or part time basis and can be worked around school hours.

  • Hours: Full time or part time - full time 40 hours per week.
  • Weekends: 1:4 Saturday morning rota

  • Team: 6 Vets 4 Nurses

The role:

  • The role is available on either a full or part time basis and can be worked around school hours.
  • The position is ideal for an RVN who enjoys providing a high clinical standard and someone who has a genuine passion for animal welfare.
  • The role involves all aspects of Veterinary nursing and the practice understand the importance of clinical development.
  • The practice are able to offer Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Nursing and a range of courses in order to aid clinical development.
  • The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
  • Flexible working patterns are available.

  • 1st Opinion Practice - small animal
  • They are equipped with state of the art facilities which include digital x-ray, in house laboratory, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, soft tissue, orthopaedic and ocular surgical facilities.
  • They have a large Veterinary team and are proud to enjoy teaching and mentoring others.
  • They are a nurse training practice.
  • They are passionate about investing in training and development of RVNs and ensure that all skills are utilised.
