Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Dartford, Kent

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary nurse or soon to be?
  • Are you looking to join an established small animal practice?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Dartford, Kent for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role will be full time for 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays with time off in lieu. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • Team: 3 vets, 3 RVNs,1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team

About the role:

  • The role will involve all aspects of nursing including schedule 3 procedures, nurse clinics, managing anaesthetics, lab work and looking after in patients.
  • There will also be some reception duties
  • The practice offers the opportunity for nurses to become clinical coaches and they can work alongside the HVN and provide supervision and training to the SVNs within the practice
  • The practice encourage all nurses to pursue areas of special interest and expand their clinical skills and knowledge
  • The practice offer a flexible working pattern to support a work-life balance, e.g. shifts to suit school pick ups

  • Established small animal practice based in Eastbourne
  • They have 6 sites across the UK
  • They have a team of 3 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN and a support team
  • They actively encourage ongoing CPD and study towards areas of special interest
  • They are equipped with facilities including 4 consultations rooms, digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in house laboratory
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients
  • They provide a supportive environment which offers scope for the Vet to develop an area of interest

Package

  • Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, incl bank holidays and birthday off
