Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting for a registered veterinary nurse with a surgical or theatre bias to join an award winning and busy referral and first opinion practice in Wigan, Greater Manchester. This role is full time, working Monday to Friday, working either 8am - 5pm or 10am - 7pm. These shifts will alternate between weeks. There is also no OOH requirements.

The referral hospital has state of the art equipment such as CT, Laparoscopy, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, dental suite, Hydrotherapy/ physio suite, numerous consultation rooms and theatres. It is bright modern and spacious and offers a wide variety of veterinary services and facilities.

About the role:

The role are ideal for an experienced RVN due to the extent of the caseload the practice sees. This is an excellent opportunity for the RVN to develop their clinical skill set and knowledge whilst working in a large busy team seeing a wide variety of cases.

Previous referral nursing experience is preferred, but not essential, as they offer training and support to RVNs joining the practice from primary care.

Key Job Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: Full time (40 hours per week), shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm each day

Weekends: 1 in 8 Saturdays, with a day back in lieu

OOH: None required

Branch work: Very minimal could be required on a rota

Team: 5 Vets, 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs and large support team

The Package:

Salary between 21,000 and 25,000 depending on experience
