Permanent Orthopaedics Team Leader - High Wycombe, Berkshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a referral practice in High Wycombe for a Permanent Orthopaedics Team Leader to join them. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week over a 4 or 5 day period. There is a 1:6 weekend rota with time back in lieu.

About the role:

  • Team Leader position. The Nurse will work within the orthopaedics referral service and be committed to providing a high standard of care.
  • They Nurse will be exposed to an interesting caseload whilst working within the specialist team. Cases will involve osteoarthritis, elbow and hip dysplasia, hyperextension injuries, limb deformity and correction surgeries.
  • The role offers the Nurse the opportunity to lead a team of 4-5 RVNs. They will be responsible for training and motivating the team.
  • This is a fast paced role working within a busy referral hospital.
  • 40 Hours per week over a 4 or 5 day period The shifts run between 7am and 8.30pm with rotation between earlies and lates on a weekly basis. There is a 1:6 weekend rota with time off in lieu provided once worked.
  • The role will involve providing support for the Clinical Services Manager,. The Team Leader will promote ongoing learning and development within the team.
  • The position is based within this established referral practice.
  • The position will offer support for ongoing training and development.
  • There will be exposure to routine and emergency cases including orthopaedic, soft tissue, internal medicine, oncology and neurology.

  • Busy practice offering a varied and interesting case load provide orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, internal medicine, oncology, and cardiology services.

  • They have a large team of multidisciplinary specialists
  • They are equipped the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment and provide a wide range of facilities including on site CT and MRI, fluoroscopy machine, Radiology and Ultrasound.
  • All of the team are supported by interns, and they all are working closely with their in-house rehabilitation department.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:

  • The RVN must have a good level of experience working in Orthopaedics.
  • The RVN will have leadership experience and knowledge of working within a Hospital environment.
  • Additional qualifications in Orthopaedics, leadership or management would be advantageous but not essential.
  • They Nurse will be able to use their own initiative and be able to self-motivate.
  • The nurse will be proactive and forward thinking.
  • The Nurse will have great communication skills and have an approachable manner
  • They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily

  • Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
