Permanent Night Veterinary Nurse - High Wycombe, Berkshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal referral practice in High Wycombe for a Permanent Night Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is full time with shifts of 13 hours from 7:30pm to 8:30am.

• Team: Large team of specialised vets, nurses and non-clinical staff

About the role:

• The role is ideal for an RVN who is passionate about nursing high dependency patients.
• The role will include nursing referral patients and also emergency cases. Duties in the role include looking after emergency and evening cases which can vary from orthopaedic, soft tissue, surgical, neurology, internal medicine and critical care
• The role offers a varied and busy caseload.
• Whilst the role does involve referral patients, previous referral experience would be an advantage but not essential to the role.
• The Nurse will also be responsible for Nursing in patients, communicating with the specialists and the owners about the patients. They will look after patients in recovery.
• They will be involved in patients administrations and discharges
• The Nurse will be expected to provide a high quality of care to all patients.

• Busy practice offering a varied and interesting case load provide orthopaedic, neurology, soft tissue, internal medicine, oncology and cardiology services.
• They are able to support career development and will encourage post qualification study and can provide opportunities that play to ones strength
• They are equipped with a wide range of facilities including on site CT and MRI. They offer advanced treatment for Orthopaedic, Neurology, Soft Tissue, Internal Medicine and Oncology cases.
• All of the team are supported by interns and they all are working closely with their in house rehabilitation department
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you

• They are looking for a nurse who has excellent interpersonal skills.
• They Nurse will be able to use their own initiative and be able to self-motivate.
• The Nurse will be able to multitask
• Previous referral experience would be an advantage but not essential to the role.
• They will be passionate, motivated and have the drive to continue to develop their clinical skills and knowledge
• They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily

Package

• Salary: Up to £42,400 per annum, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays and birthday off
