Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon - Oban, Argyll

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Oban, Argyll for a Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time with weekends, OOH work and on-call duties on a rota.

The role

• This role offers a varied mixed animal caseload
• They have a team of 6 vets that you will work alongside and some of them have certificates in Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology and Behaviour
• Support is provided for Vets looking to develop in an area of special interest.
• The role offers a varied caseload including orthopaedic cases, medicine, dental and soft tissue surgeries.
• The role will involve duties including consultations and surgeries. There will be some sole charge work involved on occasion so the Vet must feel comfortable.
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work-life balance
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• Oban is located close in the Highlands and offers a plethora of outdoor activities.
• They are fully equipped with diagnostics including endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, in house laboratory and separate dog and cat kennel.
• They have a supportive team of 6 vets, some of whom are certificate holding surgeons, and a talented team of 3 RVNs
• The pride themselves on offering case continuity and maintaining strong clients relationships.
• They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:

• The practice are open to various levels of experience for this role. They can provide support for newly graduated vet
• The practice are looking for a Vet who is committed to providing a high standard of patient and client care.
• The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
• The Vet will work well as part of a team.

Package

• Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.8 weeks aannual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
• CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 40 hours to attend
