We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Dalkeith, Midlothian for a Permanent Head Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This is a full time position offering a 40 hours per week.

The role:

• The role is full time offering a 40 hour week with a shared weekend rota.
• The role is ideal for an experienced Nurse who has a passion for leadership and is looking to move into a role with more responsibility.
• The HVN will work closely alongside the Practice Manager and Clinical Director to ensure the smooth day to day running for the practice.
• The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
• Flexible working patterns are available.

• 1^st Opinion Practice - small animal
• They are equipped with state of the art facilities which include digital x-ray, in house laboratory, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, soft tissue, orthopaedic and ocular surgical facilities.
• They have a large Veterinary team and are proud to enjoy teaching and mentoring others.
• They are a nurse training practice.
• They are passionate about investing in training and development of RVNs and ensure that all skills are utilised.

• Ideally the Nurse will have previous leadership experience.
• The Nurse will have good leadership, communication and organisational skills. They will enjoy all aspects of the role including mentoring other team members where required.
• They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily.
• The Nurse will be committed to providing a high standard of clinical care and have a genuine passion for animal welfare.

• Salary: Up to £36,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
