We are working with an animal hospital located in Gloucester who are recruiting for a Permanent weekend Veterinary Nurse to join them. This role offers flexibility whereby the nurse can work either Saturday or Sunday or both of they wish to. The shifts are 8.5 hours between 8am and 8pm.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing but will also heavily involve looking after in patients.

The RVN will be capable in all areas of general nursing pulling from previous experience working in a small animal practice. They will have the ability to balance empathising with clients and maintaining their professionalism.

• Team: 4 vets, 7 RVNs and a supportive non-clinical team

About you:

• You will have a passion for in patient care
• You will need to be confident in your own abilities and have excellent clinical and customer service skills to succeed in this
• Team work, patient care, high standards and relationships building with clients are at the forefront of what they do
• They are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated veterinary nurse who is able to work using their own initiative and someone who can organise and prioritise their time well.
• You will need to be comfortable liaising with other veterinary team members, specialists and service providers

Package:

• Salary: 21,000 to 26,000 per annum, pro rata, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6 weeks pro rata
• CPD: Generous allowance of 1,000 and 5 days leave
• Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVNA fees paid
