Job description

Are you looking for a new challenge and want to be a part of an amazing team?

We are looking to recruit a permanent full or part time veterinary surgeon to join a charity animal hospital in Stoke. The hospital is looked upon as a vital part of the local community and they often take part in local events to support this. It is a nurse training practice and soon over the coming years there will be a vet school opening close by so there will be plenty of students for the training hospital. They see a huge variety of case load, so this enables the veterinary surgeon to reach their full potential.

This role is available on a full or part time basis.

Key Details:

  • 37.5 Hrs working week
  • Veterinary Surgeon's typically work incremental shifts between 8am - 6pm for 7.5 hours per day and vet nurses from 8am-4.30pm to 9.30am to 6pm. Weekend rota is Saturday 8.30am - 6pm and Sunday 9am - 6pm.
  • No OOH, as this is fully outsourced - Vets Now do night cover on site.
  • The caseload is varied and would make a great opportunity for someone completing a certificate or looking to further develop their skills.
  • They have the work / life balance sorted with a genuine 37.5 hour working week, no evening OOH (latest finish 6pm
  • Time off in lieu and additional pay when worked a weekend

About the Role:

  • They are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon (VS) for the delivery of an efficient, professional and caring service to all the hospitals clients and to provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst also promoting pet wellbeing and delivering preventive services.
  • The hospital building is well equipped with plenty of consulting space allowing them to meet the demands of this busy small practice.
  • The caseload is very varied on a day to day basis
  • They are a friendly welcoming team that are very supportive.
  • They aim to promote a healthy life for all their pets by preventing, educating and treating sick and injured animals with passion and compassion.
  • Responsible for managing cases cost-effectively, encouraging financial contributions from clients

Package:

  • Salary - 33,281 - 43,421 pro rata per annum
  • Hours 37.5 Hours per week permanent
