Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Seaham, County Durham

We are working with an independent, small animal practice based on the Durham coast who are currently recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a full time role working 4 days per week. The role can offer either 34 - 40 hours over a 4 day period. The position includes paid breaks and also allocated administration time.

There is a shared Saturday rota from 8.30am till 12am on a 1:3 basis. This is consultation only.

About the role:

The roles offer the veterinary surgeons the opportunity to develop their clinical skills and knowledge whilst working for an independent practice. They offer the opportunity for the surgeons to work through their own case load from start to finish thus establishing good working relationships with the clients. The practice offers plenty of ongoing support and provides state of the art facilities in a modern working environment.

Key details:

  • Type: Small animal
  • Hours: Full time, 34 - 40 hours per week, between 8:30am and 6:30pm, flexible
  • Weekends: 1:3 Saturday mornings on a rota, 8:30am to12:00pm, consults only
  • OOH: None
  • Sole charge: Unlikely to be any required
  • Team: 2 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 ACAs and supporting staff
  • Computer system: Animana
  • Consultations: 15 minutes

About you:

The ideally candidate for these roles will have good experience working in a similar role within a UK practice. You will need to have good surgical and consulting knowledge, as well as having excellent customer service and client care skills.

Package:

  • Salary: 45,000 to 60,000 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata for part time)
  • Holidays: 33 days annual leave

RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
