Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Harleston, Norfolk

We have an excellent opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice Harleston, Norfolk. This role is full time for 36 hours per week over 4 days, along with 2 in 5 Saturday mornings. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work, sole charge or on-call duties.

The practice is based in a lovely market town in the beautiful southern Norfolk countryside, just a half an hour drive from Norwich and the Suffolk coast. The area is also well connected to London and local international airports. They are an RCVS accredited training practice with state-of-the-art equipment including advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment and a well appointed in-house lab.

  • Weekends: 2 in 5 Saturday mornings
  • Sole charge: No - always 2 vets in the practice
  • OOH: No but there is an option to join the OOH rota for occasional in-patient checks
  • Branch work: None
  • Team: 5 vets, 5 RVN's, 2 SVN's, 1 ANA, and support staff

  • The role offers a varied caseload with a mixture of consultations and surgeries
  • There will be no OOH or on-call as the practice recognises the need for a good work-life balance
  • Your duties will involve consultations and surgeries

About you

  • They are looking for a vet who has a good level of experience in medicine and surgery

  • You will encourage ongoing development of the team
  • You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner

Package:

  • Salary: £37,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
