Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Port Talbot, West Glamorgan

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Port Talbot, West Glamorgan for a Permanent full or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The part time role offers a 30 hour working week which would typically be over a 3 day period working shifts from 8.30am - 6.30pm. There is also a shared Saturday rota from 9am - 12pm. There are no OOH.

The role

  • Small Animal role.
  • Full or part time position with the part time role offering 30 hours per week over 3 days. Shifts from 8.30am - 6.30pm.
  • Shared Saturday rota 9am - 12pm.
  • The position offers a varied caseload and the Vet will have a mixture of consultations and surgeries. The Vet will be offered clinical freedom to work up their cases.
  • Certificate support and funding is available and encouraged.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • Small Animal Practice with a team of 4 Vets, 7 Nurses, 1 SVN, 4 ACAs along with a Practice Manager and Reception team.
  • They encourage the development of special interests.
  • They are fully equipped with facilities including Ultrasound, endoscopy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and theatre and in house laboratory. .
  • They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training. The are proud to say that they maintain a low staff turnover by providing a supportive, family feel working environment.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
