We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. This role is full or part time with Saturdays on a rota. There will be no OOH or on-call offering a great work-life balance.

The Vet would be working alongside a team of 2 other vets and a senior partner. The practice is fully equipped and sees wide variety of cases each day. They pride themselves on having a close-knit team within the clinic and have a very low staff turnover. They all share the ethos of providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer care to all clients and this has led to an excellent local reputation.

They are looking for a compassionate and friendly Vet who has good personable skills and works well as part of a team. You will have a good amount of medical and surgical experience and be confident in routine surgeries and consultations. They will have excellent client skills and enjoy establishing goof working relationships. Each day is different within the practice with the varying caseload, so this is an excellent role for a Vet who enjoys variety and embraces all aspects of the role.

  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff
  • You will be a strong team player
