Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Finchley, London

We have an opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent small animal practice in Finchley, London.

This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 5 days, along with 1 in 3 Sundays from 10am to 2pm for consults only. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties. There will be some inpatient duties when working the weekend.

The practice is looking for a vet who has good experience gained in a small animal practice, excellent communication skills in order to inform and support clients, competence in routine surgeries and the ability to create evidence-based treatment plans. You will have excellent surgical and medical skills and must be passionate about keeping up to date with your own professional development. Some experience dealing with exotics will be advantageous. You must be comfortable working sole charge as this will be required on occasion.

The practice offers a busy and varied caseload and the Vet will be working alongside two other Surgeons. They are fully equipped with facilities including operating theatre, internal lab, ultrasound and digital x-ray. They have an excellent local reputation and a lovely loyal client base. They offer 15 minute consultations allowing timer for case work up. The Vet will also be able to have case continuity through to completion.

The practice run two RSPCA clinics each week and the Vet will also be required to be a part of running these clinics.
