We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Fareham, Hampshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time with 1 in Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role

• The role involves a mixture of consultations and surgeries
• Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays
• The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
• The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

• This is an established first opinion small animal practice
• It is equipped with modern facilities which include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, new ultrasound, IDEXX and cat and dog walks
• They have a large and friendly team and pride themselves on providing a high quality of care to all of their clients.
• They are located close to the New Forest with plenty of outdoor activities on the doorstep
• They understand the importance of employee wellbeing and have well being ambassadors in place and mental health First Aiders
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Team culture:

• The Vet would be joining a team of 3 vets, 5 RVNs and 1 SVN
• The team work together to support one another and enable each other to achieve goals and continue to develop their clinical skills and knowledge
• They understand the difficulties that the vet industry can face, and they ensure that each member of staff support each other and strive each day to provide a positive and encouraging work environment

About you

• They are looking for a Vet who has a good level of small animal experienced and someone who enjoys the variety of both consulting and surgeries. They would be comfortable completing routine neuters, lump removals, and dentals. What is most important to them is the right person that fits in with the team and the culture.
• The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
• The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
• The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients

Package

• Salary: Up to £75,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
