Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Clapham, London

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon?
  • Are you looking to move into and independent practice?
  • Would you like a 4-day week?

We are recruiting on behalf of an independent small animal practice in for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon in Clapham, London. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts from 9am to 7pm, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays and 1 in 5 OOH shifts. There will be a period of sole charge each day between 6pm and 7pm and some on Saturdays.

About the practice

The practice is located 6km from Charing Cross and has excellent transport links, they are looking for an experienced vet who has a high standard of clinical care. The practice is anindependent practice which is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and offer a wide range of services for small animals.

Key details:

  • Type: Small animal
  • Hours: Full time, 4 days per week, 9am to 7pm
  • Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturdays, 9am to 1pm
  • OOH: 1 in 5
  • Sole charge: Weekdays between 6pm and 7pm, on Saturdays
  • Consultations: 15 minutes
  • Computer system: Animana
  • Branch work: N/A
  • Team: 2 vets, 5 RVNs and 1 VCA

Facilities:

The practice offers a wide range of modern veterinary services, including:

  • Ultrasound

Package:

  • Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,500
  • Memberships: RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Birthday off
  • Certificates supported and funded
  • Workplace pension scheme

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
