Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Carterton, Oxfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Carterton, Oxfordshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 8 Saturdays from 8:30am to 1pm. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties but on occasion there is some overnight inpatient care if not opted to go to OOH provider.

The role

  • There is no OOH but on occasion there is some overnight inpatient care if not opted to go to OOH provider
  • They can offer a wide variety of caseload along with case continuity
  • They can offer a mixture of both consultations and surgeries and will support areas of special interests
  • They offer 15 minute consultations
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work-life balance, e.g. rota to work around the school run or holidays
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • 1st opinion Veterinary Practice
  • They have facilities including separate cat and dog wards, digital x-ray, in house laboratory, ultrasound and dental x-ray suits
  • The have a team of 2.5 Vets, and nursing and support team
  • They are continuing to grow and expand and are now in need of an additional Vet
  • They have a great local reputation and pride themselves on the communication in terms of client care that they provide
  • They are able to support certificates
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £63,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
