We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Bourne, Lincolnshire for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full time basis. The role is full time offering a 40 hour week over 4 days with a 1:5 Saturday rota.

The role

  • The Vet will be responsible for carrying out consultations, diagnostics, surgeries, managing in patients and working alongside the team.
  • There will be some sole charge work on occasions.
  • The role is split over their two sites with mostly working in Bourne.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • 1st opinion practice with 2 sites.
  • They have a team of 3 Vets and 4 Nurses along with animal care assistants and reception team.
  • They understand the importance of a good work / life balance by ensuring the rotas stay the same and also having a wellness team in place on site.
  • The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including equipment in house lab, Ultrasound, Endoscope and digital radiograph.
  • They have a great local reputation and pride themselves on the communication in terms of client care that they provide.
  • They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.

  • Salary: Up to £70,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
