Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Blackwood, Gwent

  • Are you a qualified or soon to be RCVS registered veterinary Surgeon?
  • Would you like a salary up to £63,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Blackwood, Gwent for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

This is a part time role offering a 27 hour week over 3 days between 8.30am and 6.30pm. There are no weekends or OOH.

The role

  • Part time role offering 27 hours per week over 3 days. Working shifts between 8.30am - 6.30pm.
  • The role offers a mixture of consultations and surgeries.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • Small Animal Practice.
  • Located close to both Cardiff and Newport this area offers plenty of scenic outdoor activities, mountain walks whilst being close to all local amenities such as bars, cafes, shops and restaurants.
  • The practice is close to local transport links.
  • They fully equipped with diagnostics including endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment, imaging suit, ultrasound, digital x-ray, in house laboratory, BP machine, dental machine and separate dog and cat kennel.
  • They have a supportive team of 5 Vets and 8 Nurses and practice manager.
  • The pride themselves on offering case continuity and maintaining strong clients relationships.
  • They support personal development with a generous CPD allowance and encourage and support certificates and additional training.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £63,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
