We are working with an independent first opinion small animal practice based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing so you must be capable in all areas, pulling from your experience working in practice. You will be prepared to develop your skills by working closely with the whole team. You must have an excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

This role is part time with flexible shifts to suit you, along with weekends and late finishes on a rota. The weekend shifts will involve Saturdays from 8am to 3:30pm and inpatient care on Sundays. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

About them:

A family run, independent, modern practice based on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. They have a purpose built practice with a host of state of the art equipment. They recognise how important the staff are to the practice and feel finding the right fit for the team is of as much important as veterinary skills. They pride themselves on the level of care provided and always strive to be the best they can be. The client has just welcomed a new graduate vet so they are ideally looking for a vet with more experience.

About the role:

This practice is a single-site independent first opinion small animal veterinary clinic. They sometimes have early starts at 8am and late finishes at 8:30pm but only on occasion. Their weekend rota is comprised of Saturdays from 8am to 3:30pm and inpatient care on a Sunday. If it is quiet, the nurses and vets share the 2nd and 3rd visits so that only one of them attends. They don't have OOH requirements. They do not have a fixed CPD budget and only once have they said no to someone!

Package:

  • Salary: £23,000 to £30,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
