Job description

We are recruiting a permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Livingston. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with a weekend rota.

This is an established forward-thinking practice which is purpose built with state-of-the-art facilities.

The practice is located close to local amenities and transport links and train stations. The practice has a large highly experienced team of 8 Vets, 6 Nurses, 2 SVNS along with a supporting nonclinical team.

About the role

The role involves all aspects of general nursing including:

  • Assisting the Veterinary Surgeon in theatre
  • Managing in patients
  • Administering medications
  • Greeting clients
  • Preparing equipment and recording results.

They are looking for a nurse who has good solid nursing experience and works well as part of a team. Excellent organisational, customer and communication skills are essential. They must have a friendly caring and down to earth attitude along with a genuine passion for animal welfare.

  • Consultations: 10 Minutes

  • You will have excellent all-round nursing skills.
  • You will have good general nursing experience
