Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Godstone, Surrey

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary nurse or soon to be?
  • Are you looking for ongoing training and development opportunities?

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a referral and emergency practice in Godstone, Surrey. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 5 days with shifts between 7:30am and 7:30pm, along with 1 in 3 full weekends with time off in lieu. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

They are looking for enthusiastic RVN who has some previous experience within a practice however it is not essential that they have referral experience as full training and support will be provided.

There is a shared weekend and bank holiday rota that is shared between branches across the region.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to move into dealing with more specialised and complex cases. Future career development opportunities and ongoing learning and development courses are available.

About you

  • You will have a good amount of nursing experience in all aspects of nursing
  • Previous referral experience is not essential
  • You will be looking to move into a position where you deal with more specialised cases and move away from 1st opinion
  • You will have good organisational skills
  • You must have a friendly and compassionate attitude and be approachable at all times
  • You will be ambitious to continue with further education and training
  • You will be forward thinking and always looking at ways to develop the clinical nursing team further
  • You will enjoy running nurse clinics
  • You will have experience in clinical coaching and or happy to become a clinical coach
  • You will enjoy leading a team and providing ongoing support to fellow team members

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
