We are recruiting for a registered Veterinary Nurse to join a practice in Clapham London. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with a 1:4 weekend rota. The practice is a busy 3 Vet practice with a Head Nurse, an SVN and 2 client care assistants.

The practice performs a large number of procedures including cardiac scans and endoscopy and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including Ultrasound, endoscope, laparoscopic stack system for key hole surgery and a full in house laboratory.

The practice provides a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres.

Two of the Vets within the practice are certificate holding Veterinary Surgeons in cardiology and endo-surgery.

About the role.

The role offers 40 hours per week with a 1:4 weekend rota with time off in lieu after working a weekend. there is a bank holiday rota and on call rota which is shared between all the nurses across the region so is very generous. The practice provides a supportive and friendly environment and due to the nature of cases seen there is opportunity for the RVN to develop their skills and knowledge. It is important that the Nurse has excellent communication skills and be able to build client relationships easily. They must be passionate about animal welfare and ideally be aware and have an understanding about duties that can not be undertaken by PCAs or student nurses.

Package:

• Salary: 24,288 - 28,349 per annum
