Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Brighouse, West Yorkshire

Our orthopaedic referral clients in Brighouse are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their specialist team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 4 weekends. The weekday shifts will consist of one 12-hour shift and three 8-hour shifts. The weekend shifts will be two 11-hour shifts. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

If you have a few years qualified experience and a keen interest in referral nursing, this could be a great opportunity to progress your career however previous referral experience is not essential to the role.

About them:

A single discipline orthopaedic referral practice in West Yorkshire who focus on a variety of orthopaedic and spinal conditions. The practice has over 20 years' experience and feel they have built up long lasting relationships with patients and clients, allowing them to be flexible in their approach and match all individual requirements.

They are fully focused on providing a high standard of veterinary care and believe the veterinary nurses play a key part in this role. They provide a compassionate attitude to care and handle all animals in a nurturing way, allowing a strong bond to be formed. The practice is cleaned to a very high standard regularly to allow staff to perform to their best.

They are well equipped throughout and deal with a variety of orthopaedic, spinal, physiotherapy, CT scanning, cardiology and acupuncture cases.

About you:

You will be a compassionate, positive and hard working veterinary nurse with a passion from a providing a high standard of veterinary care. You will be a qualified RVN with ideally a couple of years qualified experience, however a strong new graduate will be considered. Previous referral experience is not essential but you must have a willingness to learn and develop.

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £750 with 2 days to attend
  • Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
  • Private healthcare provided
  • Company pension scheme

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified or soon to be
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
