We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Borehamwood who need a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their small and welcoming team of 4.

The practice pride themselves on having an excellent staff retention level and providing a close-knit family feel environment which is a pleasure to work in. They provide a high standard of clinical care and are full equipped with facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house laboratory, arthroscope, endoscope and an in-house laboratory and more. They also have a dedicated nurse consulting room.

The role involves a 40-hour working week. There will be no weekends for the time being, but the practice is looking to extend their working hours to Saturdays. There will be no OOH work. The practice is open to accepting 2 part time nurses working in a job share to cover the rota.

Duties:

• Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
• Admissions & Discharges
• Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care.
• Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
• Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
• Administering medications and taking records accurately
• In patient care
• Nurse clinics
• Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work
