Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Birmingham, West Midlands

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Birmingham, West Midlands for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is full time with shifts between 8am and 7:30pm, along with 1 in 6 weekends and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role:

• The position is full time working Monday - Friday with shifts between 8am - 7.30pm. There is a 1:6 full weekend rota working 9am - 6pm and then 8am - 6pm along with a 1:6 Saturday morning rota. No OOH.
• The role will involve a variety of duties including nurse consulting, admissions and discharges, stock control, assisting the Vet in theatre, laboratory work, inpatient care and supporting the student nurses.
• This role is ideal for a motivated and ambitious nurse who would like to make a difference and share and promote new ideas.
• The RVN will be expected to be dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and be able to work well as part of a team whilst establishing excellent working relationships with clients.
• The role offers flexible work patterns to suit around lifestyle, school runs and school holidays.

• Established first opinion practice located close to Birmingham City Centre.
• They have an experienced team with certificate holding Veterinary Surgeons in medicine, surgery, exotics, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and imaging,
• They are fully equipped offering state of the art facilities and veterinary services including ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, dental room, separate dog and cat kennels, digital and dental x-ray and an in house laboratory. They also have a visiting MRI.
• They provide a supportive working environment where everyone has a voice and are able to share their ideas.
• They offer a great work / life balance and provide support to one another as a team.
• The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

About you:

• They are looking for a confident and dynamic RVN who enjoys working within a fast paced environment.
• An RVN who would like to develop their skills and knowledge further. An RVN who would like to study additional qualifications or clinical coaching would be encouraged.
• The Nurse will have great communication skills and organisational skills and be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
• They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily.

• Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
