We are recruiting on behalf of a practice of a small animal practice in Ashford, Kent for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over a 5 day period. There is no on call and there is shared weekend rota.

This is an established 1st opinion, small animal, accredited training practice located in a picturesque village just outside of Ashford, Kent. The role involves all aspects of general nursing from inpatient care, reception work, theatre work and administration of medicines. The nurses all share the rota equally. They are looking for a nurse who is committed to delivering a high standard of clinical care. There is plenty of opportunities to continue developing clinical skills and knowledge.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Complete all aspects of nursing duties and assisting Veterinary Surgeons
• Provide council to all nursing and ancillary team where required on performance
• Reception enquiries when required
• Liaise with clients and ensure accurate information is passed on regarding their pets
• Ensure opportunities are available for team members to gain experience and provide support and encourage where necessary
• Induction training of new staff members

Package

• Salary: Up to 30,000 Per annum commensurate to experience
• Holiday allowance: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
