Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire

  • Are you a qualified or soon to be RCVS registered veterinary Surgeon?
  • Are you looking to move into a Clinical Director role?
  • Would you like a salary up to £70,000 commensurate to experience?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to join their team.

This is a full-time role offering a 40-hour week over a 5 day period. There are 1:4 weekends and the practice can consider a 4-day week and flexible working patterns along with job share. There are no OOH.

The role

  • They are looking for a confident who will manage and lead the team.
  • The CD will be responsible for the high standard of veterinary care that the practice delivers to all patients and clients.
  • The CD will work alongside the Practice Manager.
  • The CD will coach and mentor other Vets.
  • The role will involve clinical cases, consultations and surgeries and there is one dedicated surgery day each week.
  • Ideally the CD would have a surgical bias.
  • The vet would have clinical freedom and case continuity.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run / holidays /lifestyle.
  • The CD will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The CD will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • Purpose built located in a rural area of Aberdeenshire.

  • They are an RCVS accredited training practice.
  • The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including dental x-ray, Idexx, Endoscopy, Orthopaedic kit for fracture repairs and cruciate, ultrasound and therapeutic laser.
  • They have a supportive team of 6 Vets and 6 Nurses along with a reception and administration team. They have two certificate holding Vets.
  • They have a great local reputation and pride themselves on the communication in terms of client care that they provide.
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • The CD will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
  • The CD will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £70,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 7.6 weeks annual leave incl bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
  • CPD: £1500 allowance with 40 hours paid
  • Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
