We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to join their team, working alongside another Clinical Director managing a 4-site practice.

The Clinical Director will be responsible for the clinical care and the team across the sites and ensure high standards are met along with implementing policies and driving clinical excellence.

The role is full time is 4 days per week, along with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • Consultations: 15 minutes
  • Team: 9 vets, 5 RVNs, support team and practice manager at each site

The role

  • The Clinical Director will be responsible for the clinical care and the team across the sites and ensure high standards are met along with implementing policies and driving clinical excellence.
  • The Clinical Director will also hold team meetings, 1-to-1s with the senior team.
  • Areas of special interest are encouraged and supported.
  • Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work-life balance, e.g. rota to work around the school run, holidays and lifestyle
  • The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
  • The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

  • Large 1st opinion small animal practice - 4 sites
  • RCVS accredited
  • Large highly experienced team with certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, ECC, Orthopaedics, small animal medicine, feline medicine and dermatology
  • Fantastic location surrounded by the country, parks, woods and golf clubs
  • Commutable to London
  • They are fully equipped with all the toys including endoscope, laparoscopic bitch spays, Ultrasound, Digital Radiography and an inhouse laboratory
  • The branch is located close to local amenities and transport links
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • The Vet will be experienced and confident in all areas clinically. They will demonstrate leadership and management qualities and be looking to continue to drive the practice forward.
  • The Vet will be a team player.
  • The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
  • The Vet will be able to organise their own time well and remain calm under pressure.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £72,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 7.2 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
