We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal referral practice in Saint Columb Major, Cornwall for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse who has an interest in surgery and anaesthesia to join their team. This role is part time for 2 or 3 days per week. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role:

  • This is a surgical nursing role within a referral practice.
  • The position involves working alongside surgical certificate holding Veterinary Surgeons. Surgeries range from soft tissue to orthopaedic referrals. Diagnostic imaging will also be involved.
  • The practice are able to offer flexible working patterns to suit a work-life balance.

  • The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that one would expect within a referral practice including an onsite CT, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Digital and Dental X-Ray and Bronchoscopy.

  • They accept soft tissue, diagnostic imaging, and orthopaedic referrals from practices across Cornwall.

About you

  • They are looking for a nurse who has a special inters in surgery and anaesthesia.
  • The Nurse will have great communication skills, organisational skills and have an approachable manner.
  • The Nurse will be a team player and enjoy sharing knowledge with others where applicable.
  • They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily.

Package

  • Salary: Up to £30,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays and birthday off pro rata
