We are recruiting a small animal Educational lead veterinary nurse to join our Independent clients Veterinary practice based in Leicester on a full-time basis. This role involves working a 37-hour week Monday - Friday with a 1:5 shared Saturday / Sunday rota. Shifts vary between 7.30am - 7pm.

The role will be based within one of the branch practice sites however there maybe some shifts required at the main site and other branch sites. The role will involve all aspects of general nursing duties and as well this is a lead RVN role they will also be responsible for the development of the nursing team. This role is ideal for an RVN who enjoys training others and will have previous clinical coaching experience. It is important that the RVN has an approachable manner and a supportive and friendly nature.Attention to detail is vital and the RVN will have strongorganisational skills and be able to adapt quickly to changes. They will have excellent communicationskills and ensure that the ongoing educational needs of the nursing team are met.

Key Details:

• Type: Small animal
• Hours Mon-Fri: 37 hours per week on a varied shift pattern
• Weekends: 1:5 Saturdays/ Sundays worked on a shared rota
• OOH: Shared rota to cover staff holidays only
• Branch work: Occasional shifts at branch practice to cover busy periods/holidays

A small animal hospital practice with multiple branch surgeries around the local area - the main practice is busy, fast pace but committed to providing the highest standards of care. They have a large small animal caseload, run multiple nurse clinics, provide emergency care and lots of specialised clinics.

They boast a fully equipped practice and their in house laboratories are able to run diagnostic tests quickly reducing any unnecessary delays. They have multiple treatment rooms, modern hospitalisation facilities, full dental suite and imaging equipment

The Person:

They are looking for a compassionate, hardworking and reliable veterinary nurse whose passion for the industry is clear with everything they do. It is important that you are fully qualified and registered with the RCVS. Customer service skills are also of high importance to ensure a full quality service is provided throughout the practice.
