We are recruiting for a Night Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal hospital in Liverpool on a 12-month contract to cover a maternity leave. The position offers a working rota of 7 nights on and 7 nights off working 12-hour shifts.

Who are they looking for

They are looking for an experienced Night Nurse who enjoys emergency and critical care work. The role involves looking after in patients overnight and assisting the Veterinary Surgeon with all emergencies and OOH cases.

The Nurse will work well on their own without supervision and will be able to use their own initiative. Ideally, they will have had previous experience within a night role or a busy hospital however this is not essential.

About you

• You will have experience in emergency and critical care or previous experience working within a busy animal hospital
• You will have a passion / interest in ECC work
• You will have a good amount of nursing experience in all aspects of nursing
• You will have good organisational skills
• You must have a friendly and compassionate attitude and be approachable at all times
• You will be ambitious to continue with further education and training
• You will be forward thinking and always looking at ways to develop the clinical nursing team further
• You will have experience in clinical coaching and or happy to become a clinical coach
• You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff
• You will enjoy working as part of a team
• You will have a genuine passion for animal welfare
• You will consistently deliver a high standard of clinical care
• You will be caring, adaptable, hardworking, and reliable
• You will have excellent communication and customer interfacing skills

Package:

• Salary: Up to 30,538 per annum depending on experience
