Veterinary Nurse, Crawley, Oxfordshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Crawley, Oxfordshire for a Veterinary Nurse to join them on a 6 month fixed term contract covering a maternity leave. The position does have the potential to become a permanent role.

The position offers flexible shift patterns to suit a good work / life balance. Typically, full time role offers 8 hour shifts five days per week with a 1:5 weekend rota. There is time back in lieu after working a weekend. There are also three early finishes at 4pm every week.

About the role:

  • Veterinary Nurse
  • 6 Moth fixed term contract covering a maternity leave.

  • The role will involve a variety of general nursing duties including anaesthesia, managing the surgery diary, ultrasonography and in patient care.
  • The practice offers a flexible working pattern to support a work / life balance

  • Small Animal practice
  • The practice is fully equipped with facilities including ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray and an in house laboratory
  • The have a team of 6 Vets, 10 RVNS, 1 SVNs and a large support team
  • They have a loyal client base with a low staff turnover with some members of the team having been with them for years
  • They provide support for Nurses who would like to continue with post graduate qualifications
  • They offer a nurse led team environment
  • The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.

  • They are for an enthusiastic and motivated RVN who work well as part of a team
  • The Nurse will have great communication skills, organisational skills and have an approachable manner
  • The Nurse will be comfortable with nurse consultations
  • The Nurse would be fear free of handling all species
  • They will provide an excellent service to all clients and be able to build rapport easily

Package

  • Salary: Up to £34,000 pro rata per annum commensurate to experience
