Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join an independent small animal practice in Worcester.

The practice is located close to the City of Worcester and offers both cultural and sporting entertainment. It is close to local amenities and transport links.

They are recruiting a full-time veterinary surgeon to work 37.5 hours per week.

About the role

They are looking for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon with excellent communication skills. The practice is able to accept applications from newly graduated veterinary surgeons as support is available. However, the role does involve sole charge work so for an experienced veterinary surgeon it is important that they are confident in this area. There is plenty of scope for the veterinary surgeon to develop their surgical skills and they welcome vets with areas of special interest as it offers great opportunities in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, small animal medicine and also alternative therapies.

They are currently in the process of moving into a branch surgery which will be an extension to the main practice. This is due to practice growth and demand. The new branch will perform consultations only with some facilities to perform minor procedures with the main practice carrying out the surgeries and any hospitalisations. The Veterinary surgeon along with all members of the team will be rostered on to cover both sites.

The practice can provide accommodation for a relocation.
